Fun fact: I have taken a 12 pack of Mountain Dew on separate trips to Paris and Rome to satisfy my addiction to caffeinated citrus flavored beverages. I would do the same for my trip to Tokyo in July, but I think I can find a reasonable substitute there.
How I know the Groom: Paul and I go way back. How far back? I was walking with my brother around our old neighborhood and Paul was riding his Knight Rider big wheel on the sidewalk in front of his house. My brother introduced me to Paul and in return Paul grumbled back "Paul" and then sped away on his plastic steed. Paul was probably 5 or 6 years old at the time - not 18 and riding a big wheel as you probably feared. How I Know the Bride: Once upon a time I was born into a family of three siblings: a little brother, a medium sister, and a big brother. One day, we grew up. Fun fact: Laura Lacci and I are twins - we were both born on January 10, 1983! Laura was born after me... knowing Laura, she may have been late because she was applying Carmex, refilling her water bottle, or making a quick "pit stop" at the bathroom : )
How I Know the Bride: Laura and I met in college when we joined Kappa Alpha Theta. We became best friends instantly and were roommates for multiple semesters.

How I know the Groom: [ed. note: Sorry George, I had to censor the heck out of this. It's a good story so if anyone want's to hear it offline] If I remember right, it was halloween '96? We went out trick-or-treating with Anthony. Yeah, we were a little old for that, but anyway for some reason we brought some supplies to engage in some All Hallow's Eve shenanigans. After getting candy from a house, we randomly decided to tape stuff to the lady's car in the driveway and then go to the next house and continue on our candy quest. Well, the lady and her husband (an off-duty police officer) saw us by the car and ambushed us. The man came out first & affixed his flashlight on the aforementioned car... The mom proceeded to lecture us about the evils of our activity... I'm not sure why we didn't just run away or at least not go to the next house - but rest assured I will next time.

How I Know the Bride: Anyways, I met Laura in college since we were both Thetas. We lived together during our first semester in the house and have been in love ever since. We also lived together during my last semester senior year which was amazing in the most cramped room in the house called the Closet Room. I then lived with Laura just this past year in Chicago for a few months before she moved to Springfield. Laura has been one of my best friends since college and I am so happy that she found someone as amazing as Paul! Thanks for including me in your beautiful wedding! I can't wait for October 10th!

How I Know the Bride: A little over six years ago I showed up at my first Dance Marathon function (inductions), recovering from a fever and honestly believing I was attending my first exec meeting. I had no idea what I was getting myself into : ) Lacci's friendly smile and warm welcome jump-started an amazing friendship and whirlwind of DM experiences. From sleepovers at Theta, to homecoming parades, countless late nights at the DM office, committee challenges and Marathon weekends at the HPER, you have been a part of so many amazing memories. How I know the Groom: How do I know the groom: I had the honor and privelege of attending college, Illinois Wesleyan University, with THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND, Paul Michelotti. We also had some classes together and both performed in the Collegiate Choir. Finally we both became life long brothers through the Acacia Fraternity, and Paul is my one and only pledge son. I am very thankful for these experiences.

How I know the Groom: I’m Kris “G” Goergen and I have the honor of being one of Paul’s groomsmen. Paul and I met when we became pledges in the best fraternity at Illinois Wesleyan University , the ACACIA Fraternity. Paul and I enjoyed the next three years thereafter. We spent countless hours persuading anyone who would listen that White Castle is the greatest restaurant created. On the other side of the equation Paul would spend countless hours telling me that Nintendo is still the King of Consoles. I’ve had a wonderful time being Paul’s fraternity brother and look forward to having a front row seat at the best event of his life.

Laura and I became friends freshmen year when we were pledging THETA, but I think our first REAL bonding moment didn't happen until Dance Marathon our sophomore year when Laura was beginning not to feel so well due to the lack of meat in her diet while at the marathon. I quickly came to her aid with a wet paper towel to rest on her forehead. She yelled at me. Since then we've been roommates about 3 times, spent countless nights staying up having girl talk, and always been there for each other during great and not so great times. I can't believe my little girl is all grown up now!!!
